This is the shot of a Black Forest cake.
It was a bit of a challenge to get the detail in the dark areas of the cake while trying to preserve the gloomy look of the surroundings (I think I was picturing the Haunted Forest from The Wizard of Oz). I also needed to create a slight reflection off the glaze on the top of the cake to show its liquidy (is that a word?) texture, without throwing out too much light. The fog was created with dry ice and warm water.
